STEPH (OIL)

Oil . . . first mentioned in the Old Testament as an anointing to memorialize an event and as sanctification. In the New Testament, oil symbolizes healing and grace. It was used in baking (sustenance), perfuming (beautification), illumination and signified prosperity, joy & gladness, brotherly love, real grace, restoration, and the Holy Spirit. Oil is given by God and signifies His anointing, healing, and joy that is still available to us today.

FROM STEPHANIE

Everyday activities with my husband, Tommy, and children, Tré and Sofie, bring tremendous joy to me. Shopping, travel, and good books (when I have a chance to read) are great pleasures in my life. I create family heirlooms (my scrapbooks) to document God's blessings and goodness, and I am also a Creative Memories instructor. This role has allowed me to minister to women who may have otherwise been unreachable. I also enjoy worshipping at my church, Calvary Christian Fellowship in Duluth, GA. CCF has a desire to see all come to know Him and to grow in Him. My mission and my passion are intertwined. With God's direction in the music and ministry of Oil & Wine, I desire to see healing, growth, and vision among women. I live to serve Him, and by being obedient to Him, His kingdom will be established.

QUICK BIO

Stephanie Wood (Oil) had her first singing experience at the age of 7 when she sang a solo for her church. The daughter of a church pianist and his vocally talented wife, she was constantly exposed to music that praised and worshipped the Lord. As a teen, she studied piano and voice under accomplished instructors and continued her vocal education throughout college. She graduated with a degree in music and has sung in numerous choirs, toured internationally, worshipped on praise teams, and taught music to students of all ages both privately and in class settings. Today, she participates in her church's Passion Play and sings for her church's congregation. Stephanie aids in the musical direction of Oil & Wine and the designing of the Oil & Wine garments. She has a son (3) and a daughter (1), who are constantly a part of Oil & Wine rehearsals and activities, and lives with her husband, Tommy, in Metro-Atlanta.
